Procter & Gamble, Gaisano help young Filipinas realize their beauty potential

CEBU, Philippines - In today’s digital age, young people in cities like Cebu and nearby urbanized areas regularly consume social media, a phenomenon that has changed the landscape for growing up and development for their adolescent years. 

Studies show that social media empowers girls to become more confident by helping them overcome inhibitions they would normally exhibit in face-to-face interactions. Social media thus creates opportunities for them to develop their personality, as well as gain validation and acceptance from peers.

In partnership with Gaisano Malls, P&G encouraged young Filipinas to take inspiration from hit movie “Must Be Love” starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. They responded by posting Before-and-After photos of themselves, showing remarkable transformations.  This led to an unexpected trend and #GandangDiMoInakala made ripples on the cyberscene – even eliciting a funny transformation photo of a famous fast food mascot.

Procter & Gamble, through its Ganda Trio brands Olay, Rejoice and Whisper, continued to help young Filipinas feel even more beautiful. Selected from hundreds of photo submissions, these winners enjoyed a makeover session and an exclusive opportunity to meet their teen idols Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. With a truly unforgettable afternoon, these girls not only discover their own beauty but also bring a new level of confidence - on social media and in real life. (FREEMAN)
