Western Union launches “Sweldo Padala Sale”

CEBU, Philippines - Global payment services leader Western Union Company recently launched “Sweldo Padala Sale”, a payday promotion in domestic money transfers for a fee of P20 allowing consumers to send between P501 to P1,000 amounts.

Western Union East and South Asia senior vice president Patricia Riingen said that the special price offer aims to reward the generosity of Filipinos in distributing their income with their wider family so they may maximize their expenditure on payday.

The price slash on paydays, she added, serves as a small token of appreciation from the company to the overwhelming dedication of Filipinos whose priority has always been the well-being of their families and loved ones, wherever they may be.

“Filipinos are unique in a way that they always share their income with loved ones back home – immaterial whether they work in the country or overseas,” she said.

Consumers in the Philippines will be charged a fee of P20 for sending a money transfer domestically worth between P501 to P1,000 to any of Western Union Agent’s over 8,500 locations in 77 provinces, 138 cities and 675 municipalities under the Western Union Money Transfer Sale.

The nationwide offer by Western Union is available until May 6. —/JMD (FREEMAN)
