CEBU, Philippines - Cebuano spa chain Body & Sole will open at least five outlets this year in different parts of the country.
Body & Sole president Johnie Lim said they will open branches in Borongan, Samar; San Fernando, Pampanga; Tagbilaran, Bohol; and Minglanilla in northern part of Cebu as part of its expansion program and to strengthen the Body & Sole brand.
The company opened recently its 53rd branch along Escario Street, Cebu City.
In its 10 years of operation, the company was able to expand through the franchise scheme, and that despite the entry of other spa brands, Body & Sole continues to get considerable patronage from customers.
Although the spa and wellness industry in Cebu still has to improve in terms of marketing and advocacy, the market is still profitable, Lim said.
Aside from health and wellness enthusiasts who sustain the growth of the industry, Lim said there is also a significant and growing market that is now appreciating the health benefits of massage.
Massage and other therapeutic and beauty services have become an important regimen of consumers. Our affordable yet quality service has sustained the business for 10 years now, he said.
The recently opened Escario branch is a franchised outlet and is the 6th opened by the company this year.
Body & Sole is offering an average of P300,000 franchise package for entrepreneurs, and possible partners who may want to enter into the spa business.
“The spa business has a good potential. It has to be operated with passion and dedication,” Lim said.
Body & Sole pioneered the offering of alternative and affordable spa and wellness services in Cebu. The company is investing heavily on therapists training, and improving its services. Its president, Mr. Lim is currently the president of Spa and Wellness Association of Cebu (SWAC). (FREEMAN)
