Sen. Richard Gordon, PNRC chairman, said the activity is meant to make Filipinos more aware of volunteerism and encourage them to join the PNRC.

"This message is in keeping with the World Red Cross Day theme of ‘Universal Assistance through Volunteering,’ which pays tribute to the millions of volunteers who help implement Red Cross missions," he said.
