2006 Palanca Awards


Myrza Sison’s first story to ever win an award was a comic strip called "The Girl and the Balloon," written when she was six, and which appeared on the cover of For Children magazine. Back then, her mother refused to believe her when she pointed to the magazine in a bookstore and said, "That’s my story!"
