An examiner of the Bureau of Internal Revenue was arrested by agents of the
Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Task Force for allegedly trying to extort
P114,000 from a tax clearance applicant.

PAOCTF officials identified the suspect as Felicito Tarago, 30, BIR examiner
assigned at the Pasay City Revenue District Office.

Tarago was nabbed while in the act of accepting P70,000 from accountant
Marietta Grajo at the Ho Chin Ho restaurant in Pasay City last Tuesday.

In her complaint, Grajo said that she was requested last December by a certain
Antonio Pablo Jr.
