The Northern Police District Office, alarmed by the surge of car theft in the northern part of Metro Manila, held a two-day seminar to come up with measures in battling syndicates targeting mostly motorcycles.


Superintendent Alfred Corpus, NPDO-District Intelligence and Investigation Division chief, said that from January to October, the DIID recorded a total of 136 car theft cases in the Camanava (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela) area.

Of teh total, 104 were motorcycles, and 32 were cars or vans.
