Although Showbiz Stripped has been on the air for only less than a year, this Saturday night program on GMA 7 is already doing extremely well in the ratings game. The shows success may be traced to the hard work turned in by its hosts (Ricky Lo and Melanie Marquez) and a very efficient and conscientious staff, led by its executive producer, Reylei Manalo.

[Title] => Stripped of His garments
[Summary] => There is a scene in Shakespeares King Lear which, although a very small thing in itself, has enormous significance. It occurs in the storm scene, the climax of the play. The old king, having lost his kingdom and all he had including his home, and driven out of doors, in a storm, is given shelter in a hovel. There he strips himself of his clothes and presents his naked body to the cold rain. "Off with these lendings," he says. Clothes are mere "lendings" borrowed things not part of the body.

Believe it or not, a lot of TV shows even in the same network compete and try to outdo each other all for the sake of ratings.
The other day, I attributed the success of the late Saturday night program Showbiz Stripped to the dedication of the hosts (Ricky Lo and Melanie Marquez), the hardworking staff and the cooperation of their celebrity interviewees. The last one is an important ingredient because it is the revelation of these celebrities that make the show very interesting.
