The Taguig City government is set to draw a P112-million loan from the Land Bank of the Philippines for the implementation of a 10-year Solid Waste Management Plan for the city.


The amount will be used to provide more than 14,000 segregation bins, which will be placed at strategic points in 18 barangays.

Taguig City Mayor Sigfrido Tiñga said the city is veering away from the use of ordinary dump trucks and will shift to containerized and mechanized collection of garbage.
