The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is not automating the barangay elections in October and is studying if it will buy the precinct count optical scan (PCOS) machines used in the May 10 elections.

 It’s back to basic for Filipino voters. James Jimenez, Commission on Elections (Comelec) today reported that the poll body is not inclined to automate the coming October Barangay elections nor purchase the precinct count optical scan (PCOs) machines used in the May 2010 polls.
