Agent washes hands
Player agent Jerald Wrightsil wrote a scathing e-mail the other day accusing me
of harboring "an alternate agenda" in talking to him during a recent flight
from San Francisco to Manila.
To be frank, I am shocked at Wrightsil's reaction.
Last Friday, I recalled our plane conversation in this column. I never accused
Wrightsil of sending Fil-Am impostors to play here.

Segova's in Turkey
Suspected Fil-Am impostor Al Segova is now playing as an import in Turkey.
That's the word from Segova's agent Jerald Wrightsil who flew in aboard a
Philippine Airlines flight from San Francisco last Saturday.
Wrightsil, 34, also manages former Tanduay import Ira (Superman) Clark, now
plying his trade in Japan, and Fil-Am Rob Wainwright of Sta. Lucia Realty.

Asi's mom in the dark
Mobiline center Asi Taulava's mother Pauline Hernandez Mateaki isn't aware that
the Bureau of Immigration (BI) has denied her son's application for a
Certificate of Recognition (CR).
In an interview arranged by Viva Vintage executive Ronnie Nathanielsz for the
TV network the other day, Taulava said he hasn't broken the bad news to his
mother. "I don't want to cause her any more pain," he explained.
