A 47-year-old man allegedly beat his 37-year-old wife up for refusing to have sex with him in their house on Urgello Street at barangay Sambag Uno Wednesday evening.


The police arrested the man the other day and was indicted at the City Prosecutor's Office for violation of the law on Violence against Women and Children, after his wife complained to the police about the battery.


SPO1Vicente Espinido told The Freeman that the wife alleged that her husband was already drunk that night when he slapped and punched her for her refusal to give in to his demand for sex.
