He pointed out that the Philippines has the worlds fifth largest copper resources. Atlas was formerly one of the worlds bigger copper producers.
"Marubeni is looking at several Filipino copper mining firms," Kawaguchi said.

"We do have a union. We do appreciate presence. We do respect the union," Kawaguchi said.
