                    [Title] => Pope Francis a false prophet? Nah…
                    [Summary] =>

I am a Protestant (who is still struggling to be a good one), who grew up thinking  of the Roman Catholic Pope as a Holy Man to be feared, who damned people  not belonging to his faith. As the years passed, my image of the Pope has loosened up, beginning with Pope John XXIII, who  opened  the window to ecumenism.

Ephraim is a cake unturned … But they do not return to the Lord their God. – Hosea 7:8,10

The prophet Hosea used the tribe of Ephraim as a poetic representation of the northern kingdom of Israel. In a colorful admonition, he wrote that Ephraim had become "a cake unturned" (Hosea 7:8).

If our millions of Moros really believe the Prophet Muhammad said that any nation led by a woman is bound to be "unsuccessful", then how can our Muslim Filipinos – many of whom don’t even call themselves "Filipinos" – pledge their loyalty to her, much less vote for her reelection in 2004? (C’mon, she’s already campaigning hard, so she might as well admit that ambition has always been uppermost in her mind.)
