The UCI, through a letter signed by its president Hein Verbruggen, has refused to recognize neither Ponciano Regalado Jr. nor Antonio Cruz as head of the local cycling group who have both claimed to be the rightful head of the PACA.

                    [Summary] => The newly-revitalized Philippine Amateur Cycling Association (PACA) under the leadership of Ponciano Regalado Jr., has called for a cyclists’ general assembly and election of officers tomorrow at the Amoranto Velodrome in Roces Avenue, Quezon City. 


The assembly, which starts at 7 a.m., will kick-off the association’s activities for 2001. The meeting was called at the insistence of various cycling groups, including members of the national cycling pool.
