[Title] => What defiles comes from the evil within us!
[Summary] => Today’s Gospel teaches us about the old Jewish traditions, like ritual cleansing or purification, even the cleansing of pots and kettles, a Jewish tradition that is still being practiced today 2,000 years later; like eating only kosher food.

[Title] => Jesus teaches us lessons in humility!
[Summary] =>
Today's Gospel reading is a lesson in life that was true in Jesus' time and it is just as true to us today. Please open your Bibles on Matt. 23: 1-12
1 Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to his disciples, 2 saying, "The scribes and the Pharisees have taken their seat on the chair of Moses. 3 Therefore, do and observe all things whatsoever they tell you, but do not follow their example. For they preach but do not practice. 4 They tie up heavy burdens (hard to carry) and lay them on people's shoulders, but they will not lift a finger to move them.

[Title] => The more important liberation
[Summary] => The Gospels (Mark 2.1; Luke 5:17) tell us of a remarkable incident in Capernaum. Jesus had already begun to attract great crowds because of his preaching and his miracles. So there was a large crowd gathered to listen to him inside the house where he was staying. Also present were a large number of the hostile opposition: the Pharisees and Scribes who came looking for something that they could accuse him of.
