The first National Master Matias "Bombi" Aznar Chess Tournament takes place this morning at the Pardo Barangay Hall in Pardo.


The event will feature the open and kiddies division.

The kiddies class is open to 14 years-old and below woodpushers or those born on 1992 and up.

A seven round Swiss system will be used in the two-day event.

In case of tie breaks, it will be resolved either by a direct assault, or through Bucholz, median and the progressive scores.
