The Palauan high tribunal ordered MYU Publications and Moses Uludong, publisher of Tia Belau, to pay Mia Nebre $10,536.85 in damages.

However, it denied Nebre’s separate claims of sexual harassment and intentional infliction of emotional distress, citing "failure of proof."

Penalties for drug offenses in Palau are high and possession of illegal drugs such as cocaine, heroin or shabu, carries a mandatory sentence of 25 years.
