It was "an enchanted evening" indeed just as the printed program of the celebrated Japanese violinist Reiko Otani and our similarly celebrated pianist Nena del Rosario Villanueva described their duo recital at the Coconut Palace.


In Mozart’s Sonata in E Minor, the music in the composer’s typical manner, was of such spirit and charming creativity, it captivated the audience at once. Otani’s tones were refined yet robust, sonorous, lush and luminous.
