Nueva Ecija Gov. Aurelio Umali yesterday registered his objection to the plan of the city government to proceed with the conversion of Cabanatuan into a highly urbanized city, saying the move would be detrimental to the growth of the city and deprive thousands of Cabanatueños of their right of suffrage and avail of badly needed basic services and scholarships being provided by the provincial government.
