[Title] => Estrada lawyers ready impact witnesses
[Summary] => One of the court-appointed lawyers of deposed President Joseph Estrada yesterday said they have more than enough witnesses who can destroy the testimonies of the star prosecution witnesses in the plunder case against Estrada.
"We have around 50 (witnesses). It cannot be less than 50. And this will surely destroy the testimonies of (former Ilocos Sur governor Luis) Chavit (Singson) and Clarissa Ocampo, and these are impact witnesses. Were just holding our cards close to our chest," defense lawyer Prospero Crescini said.
