[Title] => Negrenses inaugurate Dungganon Bank Inc.
[Summary] => The inauguration of Dungganon Bank Inc. Saturday was a low-key affair. It did not merit a special event coverage by ABS-CBN or even local television stations. [Summary] => The poverty incidence in the Philippines has grown from 31.8 percent in 1997 to a record 34.20 percent at the start of the year, according to the National Anti Poverty Commission (NAPC), the Cabinet-level committee tasked by the Arroyo administration for poverty alleviation.
That can be translated into at least 5.2 Filipino households living below or straddling the poverty line. Of these number, only an estimated 400,000 households have been able to access financial assistance to cope with the difficult times.
