                    [Title] => Pimentel to GMA: Resign presidency
                    [Summary] =>

Senator Aquilino Pimentel Jr. is calling for President Gloria Arroyo to resign after a congressman admitted that he received P500,000 during the meeting in Malacañang last week.

During a press conference at the Senate, Pimentel said that Mrs. Arroyo should step down and tasked Vice President Noli de Castro as caretaker up to 2010.

He says that the president lost her credibility since she was linked to one scandal after the other of Cabinet officials among them the National Boradband Network project and the giving of cash gifts at last week meeting at the Palace.
