Assistant provincial prosecutor Romeo Bulotano told The Freeman that provincial prosecutor Rodolfo Go assigned him to represent the state in the case.


"What authority are they talking about? Who else will appear? I am the resident prosecutor," he said.

                    [Summary] => CEBU CITY — Some operatives from the Cebu City police detective bureau allegedly tried to fix the case of suspected drug courier and alleged Hong Kong Triad henchman Nanan Jimenez at the city prosecutors office.


Sources at the prosecutors office who asked not to be identified claimed yesterday the operatives tried to change their affidavits but assistant city prosecutor Vidal Gella rejected the idea.


According to the source, the detectives also insisted on delaying the filing of the case in court, claiming they were still conducting follow-up operations.

                    [Summary] => CEBU CITY — The city government has joined the investigation into the controversial arrest of a suspected drug courier and Hong Kong triad member by the detective bureau of the city police. 


Councilor Sylvan Jakosalem particularly wants to find out why the police divided the 337.97 grams of shabu among suspect Nanan Jimenez and two others, Jovan Jimenez and Victor Ceniza, who was arrested with Nanan last Sept. 7.


Jakosalem believes the total volume of shabu found inside the suspects’ Starex van should be charged to each of the three suspects.
