[Title] => The abandoned nuclear power plant, today’s high electricity prices and unsteady supply
[Summary] => Efforts to transfer responsibility for the decision to shelve the nuclear power plant in Bataan from President Cory Aquino came my way via a reaction to my column last week (Aug.t 27, 2014). There is blame shifting for the costly error of the one who made the decision.

[Title] => Supreme Courts minuet / GMA, military, Saguisag / Dacer case solved - HERE'S THE SCORE by Teodoro C. Benigno
[Summary] => History is still on the stampede in the Philippines. Lets not forget that. The nation remains angry, impatient for justice to be done, to right the many wrongs that ex-president Joseph Estrada inflicted on our country like a pack of foul-smelling bulls rampaging on a herd of sheep. And now the citizenry is outraged why the Supreme Court has stilled People Power II to a silly, senseless and slow-motion minuet.

[Title] => Voter Power no match for People Power - FROM A DISTANCE by Carmen N. Pedrosa
[Summary] => I do not blame Rene Saguisag for lawyering for former President Estrada. As they say, its all in the job. But I would take issue with his line of attack that "people power of the powerful is not a substitute for voter power", citing the 11 million who voted for the actor-now-deposed-president. And these came from "common" people, he adds. Hes following his clients propaganda line to reduce the issue of EDSA II into a class war. This is a pity because one expected more from Mr. Saguisag as a former freedom fighter during Marcos days. I think Mr.
