[Title] => The talented Mr. Roco
[Summary] => I met Senator Raul Roco three times. The first was in February 1998. Along with other presidential candidates, we invited him to present his platform for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender rights at the UP Film Center. I was the emcee at that event. Many of the presidentiables came. Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago was there, and her staff told me that the good senator wanted me to read her whole CV. Which I did, and the CV was at least 10 pages long.

[Title] => Tom honors Raul Roco
[Summary] => Although he supported President Gloria Arroyo in the 2004 elections, Mayor Tomas Osmeña honored with kind words and esteem former senator and presidential candidate Raul Roco who passed away yesterday after a long battle with prostate cancer.
Osmeña yesterday said Roco was one of the brightest senators and could have been a good president.
"Mr. Roco had the potential of being a good president but he just didn't have the organizational skills to put it together," Osmeña said.

[Title] => Rocos illness curable
[Summary] => The bone metastasis which Alyansa ng Pag-asa standard-bearer Raul Roco is suffering from is "curable," his campaign manager emphasized yesterday.
Dr. Jaime Galvez-Tan noted that there is a difference between bone cancer and bone metastasis, according to the medical profession. He said that while bone cancer is one of the "deadliest" forms of cancer, bone metastasis is easily curable, especially when diagnosed and treated early.

[Title] => The Roco page-turner: Expect the unexpected
[Summary] => We are back again to Margaret Thatcher, the original Iron Lady, whose outstanding political maxim was to "expect the unexpected". From an obscure player in British politics, and earlier a grocers fetching daughter in smart high heels and short tawny curls, Maggie parlayed her instincts and her searing moral vision to an unprecedented 11-1/2 years as prime minister. The "unexpected" was a whipsaw she always turned to advantage. But we shall not tarry longer on this outstanding woman except to say the "unexpected" is now happening in the Philippines.
