A supporter aide of an elected barangay captain in Quiapo, Manila, was allegedly mauled and nearly killed by alleged supporters of a defeated candidate yesterday morning.

Senior Police Officer 4 Boy Sakilayan of the Sta. Cruz police station identified the victim as Salipado Momoro, 42, of 824 Globo de Oro Street, Quiapo.
