A mayoralty candidate and a dismissed policeman, who were the alleged gunman and mastermind, respectively, in the killing of Santa Fe councilor and mayoralty candidate Rogelio Illustrisimo, Sr., last week were formally charged before the Cebu City Prosecutor’s Office.


Cebu City police chief Patrocinio Comendador endorsed the murder complaint signed by Mayor Roger Illustrisimo against Domingo Zaspa and Arnulfo Tabajero Pigon to the fiscal’s office yesterday afternoon.

Zaspa claimed that election officer Neriza Gigante seems biased for their opponents, incumbent councilor Roger Illustrisimo Sr., who is running for mayor, and his son incumbent Mayor Roger Illustrisimo, who is running for councilor.
