[Title] => SC approves Purisima probe
[Summary] => In a move that could possibly raise eyebrows, the Supreme Court has decided to investigate one of its former justices who got involved in a 1999 Bar examination scandal more than a month after that justice retired.
Former Justice Fidel Purisima, who stepped down on Oct. 28, was censured early this year by the High Tribunal for not inhibiting himself from administering the 1999 exams even though he knew a nephew was taking the exam.

[Title] => Purisima nephew willing to take Bar 50 times
[Summary] =>
The nephew of Supreme Court Justice Fidel Purisima is so obsessed with becoming
a lawyer that he is willing to take the Bar examinations 50 times.
Mark Anthony Purisima, 32, passed the 1999 Bar examinations but his name was
stricken off the list of successful examinees last April 14 because he
allegedly failed to submit a certification that he had taken a pre-Bar review
course.
"It (Bar examinations) is more than just a dream, it has become an obsession
for me to become a lawyer," he told The STAR in a telephone interview
recently.
