[Title] => Destruction from within
[Summary] => Contrary to popular belief, the elections had very little to do with the collapse of the Marcos regime. What triggered Peoples Power was not the elections between Marcos and Cory Aquino. Everyone knew that election was a farce. What unleashed the EDSA Revolution was when National Defense Secretary Juan Ponce Enrile and Chief of the Armed Forces Fidel V. Ramos turned their backs on Dictator Ferdinand Marcos. That is why the Peoples Power Revolution happened in EDSA. That is where Camp Crame and Camp Aguinaldo are located.
