I got a reply on the articles we wrote about the problems that the people of Cagayan de Oro City and Iligan City were having with the operation of the Laguindingan Airport, which is nestled in-between these two cities, wherein we wrote our observations due to our concern about this airport which still has no runway lights and navigation aids for a year already.

President Benigno Aquino III is expected to grace the final inspection of the newly-built Laguindingan Airport in Misamis Oriental tomorrow, June 11, the Department of Transportation and  Communications said on Monday.

"It has nothing to do with terror threats," he said. "It’s just because of the bad weather."

The Armed Forces can secure Mrs. Arroyo when she tours Mindanao, he added.
