"Local Chinese businessmen are very interested in the countrys BOT projects," Chua pointed out. Such interest, he added includes a whole range of projects and "not just railways."

Federation of Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FFCCCI) president Francis Chua called on the countrys legislators to temporarily suspend all its investigation and concentrate on improving the economy and hurdling the current oil crisis.
According to Chua, the biggest loser in not attending to the economy is the poor.
