Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. (Metrobank), through its Tokyo branch, was selected by popular Japanese mobile chat company, Line Corp. to be the conduit of its more than ¥59 million ($550,000) donation to the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) for their disaster relief operations in the areas affected by Super Typhoon Yolanda. Line is Japan’s biggest chat application which caters to 300 million users covering 230 countries..
