The available seat miles (ASM) also showed an increase of 3.2 percent from 9.25 billion ASM in August 1999 to 9.54 billion ASM in 2000.
The airlines scheduled service in the Pacific region showed an improvement of 2.6 percent in ASM for the month of August and 5.3-percent increase in Northwests year to date performance.
