All suited up with my equipment ready, I headed to the Cebu Country Club very early yesterday morning for the 5th La Salle-Ateneo Golf Tournament.
I knew it was going to be difficult to find a schedule that would allow me to head out of the course by 10:30 a.m. to attend the membership screening committee meeting at Alta Vista Golf and Country Club, but the Boy Scout in me told me to just be ready.
Boy was I ready, well in terms of garb, but definitely not game, uinfortunately time became a matter of essence and playing was not anymore an option.

It wasn't until last Sunday that I really took time out to watch a live coverage of a bout of Manny Pacquiao. In his previous fights, I had been contented to listen to the often funny blow by blow commentaries over the AM stations or get my text updates from sports editor Manny Villaruel.
Thanks to the change in schedule, I was able to free up my late Sunday morning and without traffic, I got to the Cebu City Marriott Hotel faster than I had expected.

It's less than two weeks away and the excitement heading to the 5th La Salle-Ateneo Golf Tournament is really building up.
The tournament takes place on November 22 and 23, and what makes this year's edition different from the last one, is that there would be a matchplay event that would pit the best players of both sides from various categories.
The matchplay event will be played on the 23rd and there will be four single matches: one hi-low, one best ball, one scramble, and one alternate shot.
