                    [Summary] => BAGHDAD (AFP) — A dispute between Filipino workers and a US group in Iraq over working conditions has been resolved, a spokeswoman for US contractor Kellog Brown and Root (KBR) told AFP Saturday.


According to the foreign ministry in Manila, diplomats from the Philippine embassy in Baghdad had been asked to mediate in a disagreement between the workers and KBR sub-contractor Prime Projects International (PPI).

"The best way to defeat (terrorists) is to become prosperous again," a Malacañang statement quoted the President as saying in New York where she wrapped up the second leg of her nine-day working visit to the US.


The President made the remark after attending a memorial service for Filipino-Americans who died during the Sept. 11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in New York.
