[Title] => Cruel
[Summary] => I do not recall a season like this one in our politics. It is all the rules of normal civility, all the norms of gentlemanly engagement, have been flushed down the toilet.
Gladiators, even when they had to fight to death, had more courtesy towards their adversaries than what we see today among the most vicious of our politicians.
I can understand that burning ambition can sometimes drive men to do absurd things. But I do not understand the seething attitude that seems to have possessed some of those who occupy positions that demand the highest degree of statesmanship.

[Summary] => The escape of Fathur Rohman al-Ghozi was pushed out of the headlines by the Oakwood mutiny. Now that incident has in turn been oversha-dowed by Jose Pidal and Victoria Toh. With political and security jitters, the peso and share prices slid once more, hitting a 31-month low yesterday.
