She’s not called "The Livewire" for nothing. Diminutive yet daring, fun yet full of artistic depth and fervor, Jo Awayan is back in the country and raring to cast her spell in the live circuit scene once more.


"I’m just so glad to be back," she exclaims, while we feast on pancit malabon and tokwa’t-baboy, courtesy of our dear common friend Bobing Garcia who offered her home as the venue for this interview.

Naging instant hit ang itinuturing na lounge singer sa nasabing venue kung kaya’t ibinabalik siya rito. Sa lahat ng Biyernes ng buwan ng Enero ay  naging tampok siya rito. Na-extend pa ito hanggang sa Pebrero 3, 9 at 14.


Sa kanyang palabas na pinamagatang "Let’s Get Loud", binago niya ang kanyang repertoire sa pamamagitan ng paglalagay ng mas maraming dance music.
