First, there was the arrival here of the first Philippine Mt. Everest Expedition. They were given heroes’ welcome Sunday in Bacolod City with hundreds of people lining the city streets to catch a glimpse of those who had climbed the world’s highest peak.

                    [Summary] => The Arroyo administration has vowed to fix or repair our badly dilapidated roads and in order to do this, a memorandum of agreement was signed for the implementation of the Roadside Maintenance-Job Creation Program (RMJCP), which would create 17,000 new jobs for poor Filipinos. That’s fine with me; after all, it is the government’s duty to find jobs for our people. However, this should never be at the expense of quality.

She’s the first Solfed member to be murdered, but it seems that her death is not linked to our language advocacy.
