[Title] => Batas P25M prize slashed as IPT cuts 8-ball purse
[Summary] =>
In a shocking reversal of earlier pledges, International Pool Tour officials began informing players on Nov. 3 that the $3 million in winnings owed them from the IPT World Open 8-ball Championship would be reduced by a third to $1 million.
The announcement was just the latest bombshell from the troubled tour, which had notified players last week that the three remaining events on its 2006 schedule representing $2.27 million in prize money have been postponed for next year.

[Title] => IPT King of Hill shelved; Reyes still unpaid
[Summary] =>
Giving up the chance to win top honors and prestige in the Asian Games, Efren "Bata" Reyes might soon be giving up his claim for the P25 million prize he won in the recent IPT (International Pool Tour) World 8-ball Open tournament.
This came about after the IPT announced yesterday that the IPT King of the Hill tournament, slated in December in the same week of the Asiad and where Reyes is seeded in the finals having emerged the top player in the IPT ranking for the year, has been rescheduled for 2007.

[Title] => Bata has yet to collect $.5M purse
[Summary] => One month after Efren "Bata" Reyes won the biggest purse staked in billiards $500,000 when he topped the IPT (International Pool Tour) 8-Ball Championships in Reno, Nevada, the Filipino pool legend still has to collect his prize money.
Questions on how and when Reyes would be able to collect the amount came in the wake of reports that IPT owner Kevin Trudeau would declare bankruptcy, which already led to the cancellation of an IPT event slated late this month in London.
