The business process outsourcing ( BPO), especially the "creative content industry," will soon surpass the remittances sent home by overseas Filipino worker as the Philippines' highest dollar-earner in the next five years, the Philippine Commission on Information Technology and Communications (CICT) said today.

Once and for all, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) will decide if computerized elections in selected areas of the country is still possible, its chairman Benjamin Abalos said yesterday.

"We (Comelec en banc) will have the final say if there will be partial automation or not, but of course we are going to base our decision on the suggestion of the technical committee," Abalos told a forum.

The President and the National Economic and Development Authority endorsed the postal modernization proposal, which would be undertaken at no cost or risk to Philpost, during the NEDA board meeting presided by Mrs. Arroyo as its chairman.

During the same meeting, the President and NEDA also approved three other major projects worth P13 billion.
