The event highlighted Ilagan’s 317th founding anniversary celebration.

Binallay, which Ilagueños cook especially during the Yuletide season and Holy Week, is made up of diket (glutinous rice), ladek (coconut milk) and laro, a locally produced brown sugar.

About 5,000 people from Ilagan’s 91 barangays feasted on the 48-kilo giant rice cake at the historic Rizal Park Centro.
