[Title] => My All Soul All-Star team
[Summary] => This weekend, we remember our dear departed and reflect on what they brought to our lives, and rekindle the memories they left us with. We can look back on the people who influenced our lives and led us to where we are, knowingly or unknowingly, for better or for worse. For some it is a chance to get out of town and take a deep breath before plunging back into the chaotic sea of work.

[Title] => Danny Lopez heads 2010 class for Boxing Hall
[Summary] => Danny "Little Red" Lopez always had one thing going for him when he entered a boxing ring — his punishing right hand.

[Title] => Building on the best
[Summary] =>
One of the hot buttons in the coming elections is the alleged issue of political dynasty. The unthinking, knee-jerk response to the false alarm being raised is to not vote for candidates who are related to currently active public servants. Let’s see if that theory holds water, at least in the sporting world.

[Title] => After the storm
[Summary] =>
Driving around the metropolis after typhoon Milenyo has been a surreal experience. The last time I experienced massive and lasting brownouts like this was the summer of 1992, which was also when a power surge set fire to my house a month before my younger son was born. The devastation is terribly grounding, and humbling.

[Title] => Ramblings on what keeps us going
[Summary] =>
This piece was originally meant to be about another analysis of an intriguing event in sports, and may yet turn out to be one. But for the nonce, Id like to talk about how tough times are, particularly for those out there supporting families, trying to scratch out a living. Many of us live in a precarious balance, where one delayed check or payment means the power company cuts off your electricity, literally leaving you in the dark.

Subalit hindi natin alam ang mga panganib na kakambal ng pagiging isang boksingero.

[Title] => Reflections from the greats
[Summary] => It is a time of reflection, as Lent usually is. Its also the time of year when even the leisure of sport takes a break, and we try to still ourselves, or at the very least, head out of town.
But before we do that, Id like to share some of the quotes from the great minds of sports that have helped me learn much of life, particularly when there is precious little to do except think.
