[Title] => Another reason squatters abound!
[Summary] => If we speak of problems common to many large cities in our country, squatting ranks high. In terms of violence to the otherwise hallowed rules of property ownership and the abject indifference of our leaders to address it correctly, this problem probably tops the list.

[Title] => Mas vale tarde, que nunca
[Summary] => Engraved on the concrete flooring of the deep well of the catholic convent in Candijay, Bohol, was a saying "mas vale tarde, que nunca". As a young boy, many years ago, I would see that every time I would fetch water. When I asked Fr. Eliseo Josol, now deceased, what it meant, he took time to explain, with examples, to boot, that some things would come better late than never. That deep well is long gone, but I still relish the meaning of its inscription.

[Title] => Dragons are not real
[Summary] => In one of my out of town trips this week with my youthful corporate boss, whose initial is JFG, we talked about "Cebu, an island in the Pacific". This imaginative description given our island province was coined a little more than a decade ago ostensibly as a marketing strategy.
