Ayon kay dating Gintong Alay Director Michael Keon, hangad ng Thailand na muling mapasakamay ang overall crown sa kanilang pagdaraos ng 24th SEA Games sa Disyembre ng 2007.

"We really have to start upgrading our standard," panukala ni Keon sa Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) at sa Philippine Olympic Committee (POC). "There is no secret formula to success."
