Like Tom Cruise’s version of Mission Impossible, the big screen remake of Miami Vice is a disappointment to fans of the TV show. All that they retained was the title and names of the lead characters. While the original was a pastel fantasy of ’80s cool, this one is just a melange of explosive scenes and breathtaking images in Mad Max country.
