GENEVA (Xinhua) - The world is now facing a new hunger crisis as many people in poor countries are losing their jobs because of the global economic downturn, a senior UN official warned on Thursday.

Dr. Borlaug has untiringly dedicated more than 50 years of the improvement of agricultural productivity in developing countries, in an effort to end world hunger.
