The Supreme Court (SC) has upheld the Sandiganbayan’s jurisdiction over the estafa and graft cases against retired Brig. Gen. Jose Ramiscal Jr., former president of the Armed Forces of the Philippines-Retirement Service Benefit System (AFP-RSBS), and his co-accused in connection with the purchase of lands allegedly 600 percent overpriced in Tanauan, Batangas, Calamba, Laguna and Iloilo City.


The land acquisitions, using AFP-RSBS funds, amounted to about P703 million.
