                    [Summary] => CEBU CITY — To save the country’s remaining forest—lands, a group of lawyers recently petitioned the Supreme Court to compel the government to work for the enactment of a law determining specific boundaries of forestlands and national parks, as required by the Constitution.


Lawyer Antonio Oposa, who headed the lawyers’ group, said the framers of the 1987 Constitution cited the urgency of protecting our forestlands but 17 years later, no law has been passed to address this concern.
