                    [Summary] => BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya — The Department of Justice (DOJ) has dismissed the murder charges filed against a former provincial board member and five others in connection with last year’s fatal shooting of a former US Navy serviceman. 


Cleared of the charges were former board member Clemente Bacani, businessmen Jolly Zapata, former barangay chairman Sidioc Uy, Melonie Bacani-Afalla, Bacani’s sister and estranged wife of the victim, Henry Afalla, and two John Does. 


The Bacani siblings are now both residing in the Unites States.

However, Ferdinand Dalpig, assistant regional state prosecutor, recommended the filing of a frustrated murder case against LTO staffer Elmer Domingo whom lawyer-victim Virgil Castro has tagged as the alleged gunman.
